Pi: Payroll Innovation

During my time on the Payroll Innovation team, I partnered with my teammates to act a connector between future-thinking business goals and the real-world problems of our users. Having the unique advantage of having many of our primary users in-house, we were able to maintain regular feedback loops of concept testing for innovative user experiences. The work involved turning abstract Machine Learning-driven ideas into functional prototypes, collaborating closely with UI-developers and product owners to ensure our most “future-thinking” concepts were grounded in human-centered design. We were working ahead of the curve, prototyping solutions such as conversational AI that have now become industry standards.

  • Defined “Payroll Innovation” vision by translating business requirements into tangible user journeys and scenarios, focusing on AI-driven automation and predictive workflows.

  • Partnered with Senior Research colleague to validate experimental concepts at scale through usability and concept testing at major industry conferences with primary end-users.

Translated user pain points into “future state” user stories, ensuring that the most innovative ML concepts solved real-world friction

  • Bridged the gap between design and development by working with embedded UI developers to execute high-fidelity prototypes for rapid testing and stakeholder demonstrations, while working with lead engineers to align on the future feasibility of our concepts.

Co-facilitated cross-functional workshops with product owners and stakeholders to define project expectations and propose design solutions.
