Job Hunts to Jump Boards: Finding Purpose in the In-Between
So many of us know how this feels. Applying to jobs and endlessly networking can feel like a strange kind of purgatory. It’s this surreal, in-between world—caught somewhere between the life of the past and the total uncertainty of what life could look like a year from now.
But honestly? I’m choosing to see this "in-between" as a catalyst. This isn't just a waiting room; it’s a launchpad. A jump board.
It’s a unique, yet abrupt and kind of unwelcome, opportunity to take chances, jump off the cliff, and just see what happens. The sky really is the limit right now. It’s officially Spring, a season for growth and reinvention, and I think that applies to all of us navigating a big shift.
About three years ago, I fell in love with Reformer Pilates. I felt strong, and my body felt better than it had in years. While I haven’t been active lately, this transition has forced a hard reset on how I view self-care. It reminded me that true resilience means actively doing the things we love and exploring those little sparks in the back of our minds.
So, today I took the plunge on something I’ve been thinking about for two years. I officially enrolled in my first module—Body Movement Principles and Pilates Essentials—to start the path toward my Pilates teacher training certification.
While I spend my days navigating applications and networking calls, this gives me something incredibly constructive to work towards. It’s grounding me during a strange time. I get the joy of exploring something I enjoy deeply, and I know I will meet fascinating people on this new path.
I don’t know what will be of me in six months or a year. But I truly believe that the more we immerse ourselves in the things that make us feel genuinely alive, the more the universe leads us down the right path. Now is as good a time as any to stop putting off our "someday" ideas and explore them in a meaningful way.

The Reformer
